G. Wayne Conner
I was born in Hinton and have taught school in Summers County for nearly 40 years beginning at Talcott High School and retiring from Summers County High School in 2006. There have been many changes during that time, from one room school houses on the mountains to a single consolidated county high school.
Education
I graduated from Hinton High School; Concord College with a BS in Mathematics, Psychology minor; WVU Math Education; The West Virginia College of Graduate Study, Gifted Certification; and course work in Computer Science at The Gilford Technical Institute near Greensboro, NC while math department chairman at the Oak Ridge Military Institute, Oak Ridge, NC.
